Full description
Vapurex AR 3/3 F-5 #8343 is a synthetic, fluorine free, alcohol resistant foam concentrate from the Dr. Sthamer foam product line.
Vapurex AR 3/3 F-5 is a high performing firefighting foam, without adding of any fluorine or silicon organic compounds to comply to the environmental performance.
Vapurex AR 3/3 F-5 is certified as a low expansion foam which generates an exceptional highwater retention capacity, , making the foam blanket heat stable, gastight and resistant to air movements at an application for A and B fires at 3% on polar – and non-polar liquids.
Vapurex AR 3/3 F-5 is very stable and resistant to many chemicals and therefore suitable for vapor tight coverage of spills and leakages as direct application on liquid hydrocarbons. E.g. petrol- and diesel fuels, mineral oils ,etc.
Vapurex AR 3/3 F-5 for use to extinguish polar liquids, the foam to be applied with gentle indirect foam application at an induction rate of 3%. This Alcohol resistant firefighting foam is recommended to be used in foam system protection Decks on board of chemical tankers.
Vapurex AR 3/3 F-5 to be used as a wetting agent on class A fires at 0,5% mixing ration onwards.
Vapurex AR 3/3 F-5 for use in fixed extinguishing system, it should be checked in forehand by in-depth review of the system, suitability of the proportioner and the entire concept.

Important notification:
When replacing a PFAS added foam type to a Synthetic Fluorine Free foam type (SFFF), the storage tank and pipes require special cleaning to avoid PFAS remaining in the system and will contaminate the new SFFF foam that overtime can sorb any PFAS left. PFAS can be absorbed by tank seals and released after storage of the new foam.
Solution:
Reach out to your VIKING contact. VIKING offers support for cleaning of your foam system, disposal of the old foam and foam analysis on PFAS/PFOS contents.
When replacing the existing foam compound by a fluorine free extinguish foam, it is recommended to complete corresponding tests and review of the system hardware. It’s advised to perform tests and technical review in advance of a dry docking, due to time involved for technical assistance, calculation, lead time of foam system parts and new foam compound.
