Full description
The Dräger PSS 7000 SCBA is engineered with its heaviest components positioned at a lower center of gravity, enhancing stability and balance. This design allows the wearer to work more efficiently with reduced fatigue.
The harness features a high-grip, anti-slip inner surface that remains securely in place without needing a chest strap or excessively tightening the shoulder straps. Cooling channels in the shoulder straps and waist belt help prevent compression burns. Additionally, a stainless-steel, friction buckle on the harness ensures that the SCBA is easy to put on and take off.
The Dräger PSS 7000 is designed to move seamlessly with the wearer, allowing for unrestricted movement while walking, crawling, or climbing. The backplate automatically extends and pivots to mimic the wearer's movements. Its unique, self-adjusting, and pivoting waist belt keeps the SCBA securely on the hips when a firefighter reaches, preventing the coat from riding up.
The PSS 7000 features a lock-and-load system, enabling colleagues to quickly and securely change out cylinders. Its proven quarter-turn QuickConnect adapter allows for fast and easy attachment of the cylinder to the reducer, saving time compared to traditional threaded reducer hand-wheel-and-cylinder CGA connections. The QuickConnect system also includes a safety interlock mechanism that prevents disconnection at pressures above approximately 70 psi.
