The ACR GlobalFix V5 AIS Emergency Position-Indicating Radio Beacon is a cutting-edge EPIRB with a distinctive range of features. It includes an AIS alert, offering the most straightforward and fastest route to rescue. The integrated Return Link Service (RLS) gives users peace of mind by confirming directly to the beacon that their distress signal has been received. The incorporation of Near Field Communication (NFC) enables connectivity with smartphones, providing unprecedented access to data and product interaction. - It combines 406 MHz satellite connectivity and Automatic Identification System (AIS) for global and local distress signal transmission.
- The AIS technology allows immediate local notification and pinpointing of the beacon’s location.
- Category I EPIRBs automatically deploy when a vessel sinks, floating free at a depth of 1.5 to 3.0m. They can be manually activated while in the bracket or removed and activated.
