State-of-the-art modular test facility in Esbjerg
When it comes to safety, there can be no compromise. Thanks to our state-of-the-art test facility in Esbjerg, Denmark, you know that your VIKING safety equipment have been tested to the max – and your people are safe with us.
As the industry leader in safety at sea, VIKING has a responsibility to ensure every piece of VIKING equipment you use will perform, whatever the circumstances. That’s why we operate a state-of-the-art dual tower testing facility at Esbjerg Harbor, close to our head offices and R&D center.
Tested in real-life conditions
Reaching 23 meters above sea level, the dual tower test facility underscores our commitment innovation, safety, and customer service. Here, our Marine Evacuation Systems (MES) and other maritime safety equipment are put through their paces during development, prototyping and approval testing.
The dual towers enable parallel testing and reduce non-conformance reports (NCRs) by replicating real-life scenarios accurately. The result is a comprehensive testing program that pushes every test to its limits – for unparalleled safety and peace of mind.
The future of safety doesn’t stand still
At VIKING, we’re committed to constant improvement. We are always looking for new ways to ensure your personnel are safe, and regulatory compliance is simple. Our testing facility plays a key role in this drive.
Thanks to its modular design, using 40-foot container-sized components, the facility can be continually upgraded to accommodate new technology, regulations and test requirements. VIKING is the first safety supplier to adopt this modular approach to testing, ensuring your equipment always performs to the highest standards.
