CEO Henrik Uhd Christensen passed away
It is with great sadness that we announce that the CEO of VIKING Life-Saving Equipment, Henrik Uhd Christensen, passed away on 17 January 2024 after a short period of illness. Henrik leaves behind his wife and two adult sons. He was 54 years old.
Henrik joined VIKING in 1992. He started in export sales before being stationed in Hamburg, Germany as Managing Director in 1996. In 2000, he was appointed Global Sales and Marketing Director, moving back to Denmark. He became CEO in 2010.
The Executive Board of VIKING Life-Saving Equipment, consisting of Chief Financial Officer Gert Lillebæk and Sr. Vice President Regions Vagn Pedersen, will temporarily take over Henrik's responsibilities and tasks. Together with Group Management and the Board of Directors, they will manage VIKING Life-Saving Equipment in the coming time.
We ask for your understanding that we have no further comments on Henrik's death.
