Our VIKING Norsafe boats for defence and military professionals are specially designed to operate away from shore or the mother ship for extended periods of time. Combining superb seaworthiness, manoeuverability and high speed, the boats are ideal for a multitude of roles, functions and applications.

From design and development through to production, attention is paid to guarantee the highest quality. Only the best craftsmanship, components, materials and technologies are used.

VIKING can deliver boats with a range of optional features including ballistic protections and even remote weapon stations.

When failure is not an option

For the majority of our users, equipment failure is - and cannot be - an option. VIKING Norsafe boats operating in the "no-failure-zone" can be equipped with a mechanical override control system for the engine electronics. Even if all on board engine electronics are heavily damaged or should fail completely, this system allows boats with full redundancy, where the motor, power train and all support functions are isolated within the craft. This helps ensure a safe return for crew to land or to the mother ship, regardless of the severity of conditions.

Task flexible or mission specific

Performing excellently in both extremely specialist and/or highly versatile work-horse roles requires both an expertly composed solution and a second to none build quality.

Following fabrication, all boats are fully tested to ensure their performance. Customers are welcome to attend testing and sea trials at our production facilities which have open ocean access.

And of course always approved

As a testimony to our level of quality, all our boats are designed, built and equipped to comply with RCD, DNV CRAFT and SOLAS regulations or similar national regulations. Other codes and certification modules can be supplied. All boats are specially designed and constructed to meet the need for fully available, low maintenance, standby and operation.

Choose between many custom propulsion options

To most of our defence and professional boat clients, propulsion performance and speed are the alpha and the omega. VIKING Norsafe boats are usually fitted with inboard diesel engines driven by waterjet, stern or surface drives. Petrol outboard motors can also be installed if preferred.

This extensive range of options gives a wide spectrum of operational possibilities - from shallow river or coastal mission deployment to high speed offshore use.
