Changing of the Guard

Looking forward the company is well-positioned financially and market-wise to further expand and diversify its business.

Mr Amann will be succeeded as CEO by Mr Henrik Uhd Christensen the present Global Sales and Marketing Director, who has been with VIKING for 17.5 years of which a 5- year tenure as managing director of VIKING Germany.



Mr Tage Sorensen, the Chairman of the company for the past 50 years, who recently announced his retirement on the same date as that of Mr Amann, says of the change, ”Kjeld Amann together with his colleagues has done a fantastic job of professionalizing the company and continuing the globalization and growing the company to be better able to match the ever increasing demands from the markets. There awaits the coming CEO a great challenge to continue and as opportunity presents itself to change the course that has been mapped out. I remain confident that Mr Christensen will be up to the task”.
